Product Review: Award Winning (Gluten Free) Lemon Drizzle Loaf by Melisie Jane Bakes

Lemon cake

A lovely soft crumbly Lemon Drizzle loaf cake made by “Melisie Jane Bakes” which tastes like summer. It has a fresh lemon smell and whilst biting through the sponge, you can taste odd pieces of rind. It is light and very lemony which you would expect and whilst it is dry, it has a moist fresh taste. If anything, it needs to be bigger as it was a great GLUTEN FREE cake.

This products was top-dog in the Free From Food Awards in 2014 where it won best in category for “cakes, cupcakes and brownie“.  I received it as part of my May 2014 “Crate of Nothing” which included a selection of GLUTEN FREE foods which were winners in the FreeFrom Food Awards.
