Product Reviews: Pineapple Fondant Tart & Victoria Sponge Cake from The Wheat Free Bakery.

From various Facebook groups I have noticed several complimentary postings about The Wheat Free Bakery. A simple online shop means you can purchase cakes, desserts, bread and pastry items which are delivered by courier to your home made in Scotland!

Pineapple Fondant Tart:

Wrapped securely in a plastic case (with two cakes in the pack), they still looked presentable even if a little dropped!

The pastry is quite sweet and slightly buttery which is nice and the soft fruity filling is topped by a marshmallow-style topping which is sweet and creamy. It reminded me of a Mr Kipling pie with a special topping: the sweetness of the topping is really quite heavenly.

 

Victoria Sponge Cake:

 

A delicious victoria sponge cake which again is protected during transit. It travelled very well with a creamy filling and sweet jam. The vanilla flavoured sponge was soft and crumbly with a lovely soft texture.
