Afternoon Tea Review @Pantry at 108 Marylebone Lane, London.
My GLUTEN FREE Afternoon Tea.
It was a special occasion so a good Afternoon Tea was on the menu. According to the Evening Standard, there are several “excellent” GLUTEN FREE options to choose from in London so excited that there was a choice!

Situated just behind Oxford Street on Marylebone Lane, the 108 Bar & Grill offer a good Afternoon Tea for regular customers as well as those with food allergies. It has the feel of a luxury boutique hotel with lush velvet furniture, attentive staff dressed in black & white attire and actually a lot of soft seating arranged so that you have semi-private areas to enjoy your afternoon. They are very accommodating so when i visited, my partner had a regular PM tea and I enjoyed the Gluten Free option with no fuss about our differing orders.
My beautiful Earl Grey Tea chosen from a limited selection of good teas from The Fine Tea Company. (A shame they didnt have a more extensive tea menu but they do share with you the tea leaves so you can smell the aroma when making your selection).
My GF sandwich selection which included egg and crest, Ham with mustard, Smoked salmon and cream cheese and cucumber. In addition, I received two little tasters which were delicious and included lentils with goats cheese on a spoon.
My GF Cakes including a beautiful Champagne fruit Jelly. Whilst they didn’t look quite a good as the regular cakes, they were delightful and included a lemon and almond cake, a rich chocolate brownie and an almond flapjack.
And finally, soft smooth GF scones served with a strawberry jam and clotted cream which were wonderful. Indeed, mine both had raisins which added to the moisture. And in comparison to the regular Afternoon Tea (in the background) they looked very similar.
A great GLUTEN FREE Afternoon tea.
