Restaurant Review: Pizza Express for GLUTEN FREE Emilia Pizza at Parsons Green, London

Pizza Express is a good lunchtime/ light dinner option for those with food allergies as they are able to make many of their Pizzas on GLUTEN FREE bases. It is interesting that there is not a consistency in the bases depending where in the country you are or what is being supplied to that specific location. I have previously tried the Emilia Pizza when it was featured on their Summer 2014 Menu as well as their Peppered Salmon Risotto, but it must have proven popular as they have now included it onto their regular Autumn 2014 Menu.

My recent GLUTEN FREE Emilia Pizza

The Emilia Pizza is described on the Menu as “Chestnut & closed cup mushrooms on a goat’s cheese, garlic oil and mozzarella base finished with rocket, Gran Moravia cheese, fresh lemon juice and black truffle oil” and the combination is a rich tasty pizza but the base, this time was rather thin and probably a little too crispy. The drizzle of black truffle oil made it seem a little greasy which was a shame as I really love this combination of ingredients but the base needs to be more substantial.

Previous visits to Pizza Express have been blogged when I enjoyed a Padana Pizza,Americano Pizza and another Padana Pizza

And of course, you can always make your own Pizza at home…

Other pizza bases reviewed on my blog include:
