Product Reviews, Restaurant Reviews and Recipes: All GLUTEN FREE!
The Truscott Arms, Maida Vale, London has strong reputation for excellent GLUTEN FREE food. It has featured in many food blogs, newspaper reviews and articles about GLUTEN FREE London as the owners have Coeliacs in their family and therefore, cater for this specialist field. I was excited to head into North London and discover this paradise…
On the Menu, they clearly identify which dishes can be made GLUTEN FREE and on a Sunday, this includes all of their Roast meals (excluding the Yorkshire Puddings!).
We opted for the English Rare Breed Pork (both with pulled pork as well as Roast Loin pieces). It was served with honey roasted vegetables, roast potatoes (and separately for GLUTEN eaters) a Yorkshire! The pulled pork was soft, salty and broke apart with ease whilst the loin slices were good meaty pieces. It is all served “family style” on a large platter which you then help-your-self-with.
For dessert, I choose the GLUTEN FREE lemon Posset with Strawberries and Strawberry Ice Cream. It was a great finish to an amazing GLUTEN FREE Meal. A light and refreshing dessert which lifted my spirits after a hearty main-course. It had the tartness of the lemon complimented with the sweetness of the strawberries! A great combination.
