With Mother’s Day, just around the corner (31/03/19) in the UK, It’s timely to review the multitude of Chocolate Boxes available on the UK shelves for Coeliacs and those avoiding GLUTEN. This celebration of Motherhood only started in the 20th Century but has widened so you can purchase cards (and gifts) for Sisters, Grandmas, Aunties and every other female relative at this thanks-giving time! And like last year, I plan to post two guides: the first covering the traditional Chocolate Producers whilst the second post will cover the High Street Stores as well as Decadent Department Stores). Last years: Chocolate Producers, and the second guide to High Street Suppliers and Decadent Department Stores). This is because there’s so much choice and so many pictures!?
In the UK, last year, perhaps due to the cold snap that happened, only £50m was spent on cards alongside a further £260m on flowers, and a staggering £1.4bn on other gifts (including CHOCOLATE!) So check out the guide to see what Chocolate Boxes are a possibility for 2019….
