So last year, it was back in Covent Garden, in Seven Dials, and previously it was in Selfridges (Oxford Street) but this year (2018) it’s located at the bottom of the Kings Road, in Chelseas (nearest Tube; Sloane Square) and it promises to be a luxurious experience!
11-13 Duke of York Square, London SW3 4LY
Mon-Wed: 11am-7pm
Thur-Sat: 11am-9pm
Sun: 11am-6pm
It’s OPEN now, and up until 16th September 2018, you can build you own GLUTEN FREE Magnum bar with a range of beautiful, delicious and delicate toppings! I have yet to visit, but I shall be popping into this Pop-Up soon, but I can recall visiting last year in the heart of Covent Garden: a large shop with a basement (set-up with another toppings bar and further seating) which may open during the peak summer months, it comfortably accommodates the tourists and hungry visitors wanting to have the ultimate in Ice Cream heaven.
After paying (£5.50) for the “Experience” you work your way along the toppings bar, ending with you own creation to eat, enjoy and instagram!
You choose three toppings and they are shaken in a cocktail shaker in front of your eyes. On the rear of the labels, it has the standard warnings “May contain…” which helpfully highlights which ones are GLUTEN FREE and LACTOSE FREE! so ask if you’re not sure.
Half the toppings are sprinkled into the box (for the base of the Ice Cream) whilst a plain Ice Cream is de-bagged. You are offered White, Plain or Dark chocolate coating and this is dipped in front of your eyes. This wetness means that dry toppings will stick to the ice cream, whilst the remaining half of the toppings are delicately sprinkled onto the top of the ice cream bar.
And additional drizzle is added (with again the choice of Plain, White or Dark chocolate) before the “M” is added.
Topped with Orange Peel, Dark Chocolate Shavings and Dark Chocolate Flakes with a Plain Chocolate Drizzle and a White Chocolate “M”.
This was topped with Caramel Chunks, Dark Chocolate Flakes and Praline Crunch drizzled with White Chocolate and a White Chocolate “M”.
So if you’re loving Magnums, this “Experience” is a great way to cool down in London. And remember there’s lots of GLUTEN FREE Ice Creams which you can enjoy…
A wander around Seven Dials, just north of Covent Garden in London, and you’ll spot this new shop frontage which has been emblazoned with Magnum pictures. It reveals a new location for their pop-up Magnum experience after the success of their stand-alone Magnum Experience on South Molton Street (near Bond Street) in 2016. Of course, the first incarnation of this “experience” was in Selfridges when they were celebrating 25 years of Magnums in 2014!
So they open on TUESDAY 27th JUNE 2017 and remain open until 10th SEPTEMBER I shall be there to make sure a GLUTEN FREE own magnum is still available with products starting at £4.50
Magnum Ice Creams are GLUTEN FREE so it was timely to enjoy the Magnum Experience located at Selfridges, London to celebrate their 25th Anniversary in 2014.
You cant miss Magnum on the Ground Floor of Selfridges!
The Toppings bar with a selection that allows for 200.000 combinations of Magnum. (Allergen information and individual ingredients are on the reverse of the cards whilst the staff are well informed of all the allergen information and can help you make a GLUTEN FREE Selection).
I loved my Magnum bar, although it was a significant Sugar overload with the double coating of chocolate (one milk chocolate layer and one dark chocolate layer) and all the added bits! Definitely an indulgent way to enjoy Chocolate and Ice Cream! Available until 30th August 2014 at Selfridges in London.

This information was correct as of July 2018.
But as I am learning, ingredients do change and therefore you should always read the label and check for yourself whether it is GLUTEN FREE or not!
